Unfortunately the arguments against saturated fat are pretty week. In ref. #8, correlation does not pro causation. Furthermore those who have looked carefully at the research with an open mind, have found the research that supposedly links cholesterol and LDL levels with ill health are mostly flawed, biased, or mis-interpreted. Some of the healthiest people on this planet have eaten plenty of saturated fat. As a retired dietitian I discovered how I had been mislead by propaganda from the food industry, and I became a "reformed dietitian", immediately switching to butter, coconut oil, and whole milk, preferably raw. It's far more important to limit the processed fats and excessive omega-6 polyunsaturated fats. See http://theconsciouslife.com/omega-3-6-9-ratio-cooking-oils.htm
