RSVP really is saying reply please usually on invitations and to be polite.Répondez S’il Vous Plait is how you say it in French.

Hi, unfortunately you left out the most important thing in this response…the fact that french as a language notoriously mispronounces just about every word in it. Therefore, Répondez S’il Vous Plait is not said “raypondez sill vouse plate” as would be imagined by an uniformed person reading this phrase. The actual french pronunciation is “ray pon day see voo play”
